The opposite of out of the box thinking...

I'm looking for a box shelf - one foot by one foot square - that's wall mounted. Black brown wood. I've been looking the length of google but clearly I'm not doing it right. Help.
I wanted to go with regular nightstands but there wasn't enough room. So ten I was going to go with tall pedestal night stands but they kept falling over when I hit the snooze. So then it hit me: wall mounted cubes on either side of the bed. One foot square. Black brown wood. Perfect.
Except I can't find what I'm looking for.
My guess is they have some sort of cutesy name that I'm not in the loop on and that's why all I'm getting are complicated "cubing systems" or just industrial shelving.
So please, for the love of my clock radio, help me find it.

This might work.
This is only 10"
The price on the first one is more than I would want to pay.
The second one is smaller than you want but the price is good.
Oh well, I tried!

BLTD is a good resource for this kind of thing.
Here's something you might like.
Search using "floating shelves" or "floating cabinets" for more options.

The Container Store has wooden storage cubes. Not sure about the wall mounting.
If you already have the pedestal night stands, can you secure them to the wall somehow?

West Elm has block shelves, but they are only 6" wide.
In the same section is a spine wall shelf, which is 8.25" wide and has a few levels. I've often thought about installing that instead of nightstands.
