How do I replicate her hairstyle?

I have been watching season 4 of The Office, and I really love Pam Beesly's hairstyle (shoulder length, and curly). I have a tough time styling my hair, and would love tips on how to do something similar to Pam's hairstyle.

Because is matters: my hair is naturally wavy, but has issues with fly-aways and frizzy-ness. I have some luck with my waves when I use leave-in conditioner. My hair is not too long, and falls a couple of inches past my shoulder.

I saw not two days ago a post on here that linked to a style blog that discussed Pam Beesly's hairstyle... I'm trying to find it....

Best answer: • First, get a good trim and have some long layers put in.

• Buy some sort of light product to sort of coat your hair and give it more body. I like Aveda's Brilliant Retexturing gel. Put a dime sized glob in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together lightly to coat your palms, and sort of light slick your palms over your hair. You want to go with even coverage without going overboard. Pay attention to the ends.

• Blow dry with a diffuser (the diffuser is crucial, the bigger the diffuser the better), scrunching and twisting hair as you go. I do not recommend turning head upside-down, it just seems to make it look frizzy and unkempt.

• End by lifting your roots and applying some direct heat (no diffuser), to give your roots some lift.

• Maybe end with a very light misting of hair spray to keep the curl from falling out so quickly.

I have wavy hair that I coax into curls. Maisie Jay pretty much has it.

When your hair is wet, you need to add 2 products: a slightly waxy product to keep down frizz, and a foam or gel product to enhance your curls. You can mix them together in your palm and scrunch them thru your hair.

Blow dry with a diffuser. Then use a curling iron to add a few well-defined curls around your head.
