What is an online tool for creating timelapse movies?

Are there any web-based video editing services that provide "Speed up" effects to create time lapse movies?

I have taken movies about 60 minutes long. I'd like to speed them up by a factor of 16x to 64 x. Windows movie maker is too slow, and doesn't preview the sped up time-lapse movie clearly. Maybe there is something better on the web. Id be interested in hearing about either online video editing services with this capability or open source software.

You could give VirtualDub a try. It's not online, but it's open source and was what I got recommended when I was looking around for software to do time lapse videos with. It's not super slick or anything, but it gets the job done nicely (although the videos I did were quite a lot shorter than 60 minutes).

Why are you so interested in doing it on the Web?

I can see how it would be nice not to have to install software, especially (in my experience) if that happens to be windows video editing software.

I was surprised to learn online video editing sites exist. Here's the conclusions of a review if you want to know a bit more.

Unless you're sitting on some serious bandwidth, uploading a 60 minute video so an online service can speed it up will take a lot longer than doing it locally.
