Should I Exercise My Fret Fingers or Restraint?

Should I pick up an XBox 360 this weekend (knowing it is likely a Falcon model), or wait until I can get a Jasper model?
I bought Rock Band 2 a couple of weeks ago, and it has been calling to me with increasing urgency. There's a sale on at Future Shop this weekend, so I can pick up an Xbox 360 Pro for 30 bucks off, but I know it is probably the Falcon model, and not the newest Jasper.
Is this a big deal? Are Jaspers significantly better than Falcons? My specific worries are noise and RRoD issues. I really want to get the console so I can start rocking out, but I don't want to purchase brashy if I'd be better off waiting.
Help? (Also, I am in Canada, if that might affect the timeframe for Jasper availability).

I bought a Jasper back in the last week of December (Arcade version). It's definitely quieter than the Falcons I've played, but I can't speak much to RRoD issues. That's why I made sure to get a Jasper, though; better safe than sorry. They're supposed to run much cooler.
That said, I did get mine in December. I'm in Florida. I guess the rollout timeline might be different in Canada, but I bet you have a pretty good chance at snagging one now-ish.
Here's how to tell which one you're looking at, in case you didn't know.

The ones manufactured in the last year or two should be okay. I had an original launch one and after MS replaced it twice, I finally got one that has newer guts.
I believe that MS is still offering a standard 3 year warranty on 360's because of the repair history though. If it doesn't break in 3 years, it hopefully won't break after that.

Oh wait. I'm confusing my revisions here.
The Jasper is an update to the GPU (not the CPU)! The Falcon was an update to the GPU.
The Falcon has a 90nm GPU but a 65nm CPU.
And the Jasper has a 65nm GPU and a 65nm CPU.
So yeah, still get the Jasper because it will be quieter and less hot. :P

It produces less heat because it has a smaller processor, so the RROD is much less likely to occur. It's also supposed to be quieter, which is an aesthetic plus.
