Can I donate unused contact lenses?

I just got LASIK, and I find myself with half a box of unused Acuvue contact lenses. Am I allowed to donate/give them away, and if so, what's the best way to do so? Google has turned up conflicting information, so I'm looking for first-hand knowledge. I'm in NY if that matters.

Yes, if they are unexpired. I also got Lasik last month, and donated my unused, unexpired lenses at my doctor's office.

Your local Lion's club will take them ask well.

If you got them from your eye doctor, you should be able to return them for a refund or a credit, as long as they are unexpired.

As of June 2008, MADRE was accepting lenses sent to MADRE, 121 W. 27th Street, Ste 301, New York, NY 10001.
