NSFW - banged up my male organ...solutions...

I went running in the cold and although I could feel the friction, I was in a groove and didn't realize I was hurting the tip of my penis so bad. It hurt like hell for the first couple days and has almost recovered expect I think normal wear and tear is preventing me from becoming 100%. Any creams/solutions/remedies? I assume this must happen from time to time to active males.

Good ol' vaseline will keep it from happening next time. It also prevents bloody nipples.

There are two products that I have recommended so many times on askme that I should get a commission. One is Goo Gone, which won't do you much good. The other is Body Glide, which will.

Wearing a small (it's cold after all) condom may help, as might changing your underwear of choice (temporarily, or when you go running) to something less likely to chafe.

I have had this occasionally, and switching from boxers to briefs temporarily really helps the healing. Also, I don't know what counts as "normal wear and tear" for you, but try to avoid any... stimulation if at all possible.

I only have the lady parts myself, but the BF has a tube of Paceline's Chamois Butt'rSkin Lube from his AIDS/LifeCycle days and it seems to work pretty well for him.

Seconding bodyglide for the future. Not that I've ever used it on the relevant body part -- not that i HAVE the relevant body part -- but it's awesome for the bits of me that do chafe when I go on long runs. It's prevention, not cure.

Even though most circumcised males don't realize it, the glans of the penis is actually a mucosal membrane (they don't notice because theirs is dried out due to lack of foreskin.) If you keep it properly moisturized it'll heal quickly like most mucosal tissue in the body (the inside of the mouth for example)

Buy a pair of socks meant for a new born. They're the perfect size for protecting a penis head. Put some moisturizer on, preferably oil based, and then put the sock on.
