Something To Ride To

Trying to find good music with end-of-the-song refrain loops.

I'm trying to find good songs like Tupac's "Lost Souls" where at the end of the song the refrain gets repeated again and again. Scarface & The Product also have a song called "G Type" that is an ideal type of this. The last 45 seconds of the song is the music playing and the repeat of the refrain and it sounds like it could go on forever.

Sia's "Where I Belong" does this as well - the last 1:42 is the refrain repeated again and again, sung in different ways.

I might loop the file so it goes on for a half hour, I'm not sure yet, but I'm looking for good songs like this.

I'm wanting to avoid metal, country or r&b if possible. Whatcha got for me hive mind?

What immediately springs to mind for me is actually slightly different from what you've asked, so feel free to ignore - these songs have a repeated thing at the end that's not actually a refrain, it's something new that appears at the end of the tune and goes on and on:

Beck - Peaches and Cream
Simon & Garfunkel - Save the Life of my Child

I also seem to recall in Fastball's "Out of my head" they repeat the main chorus about a million times.

Does the "Mama-se, mama-sa, mama-coo-sa" at the end of Michael Jackson's Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' count?

Is Hey Jude like this, or have I not understood?

"Computer Love" by Kraftwerk
"Lake Swimming" by Laura Veirs
"Sweet Lovin' Man" by the Magnetic Fields
"Calfskin Smack" by the Cocteau Twins
"Velouria" by Pixies
"Ageless Beauty" by Stars
"Changes" and "A Good Idea" and "JC Auto" by Sugar
"Greenman" and "Senses Working Overtime" and "Jason and the Argonauts" by XTC

More of a long coda than a repeated refrain, per se:

"Beatrice" by Francine
"Let Down" by Radiohead
"Morning Glory" by Versus
"Blue Line Swinger" by Yo La Tengo

and "Katy Song" by Red House Painters does this for what feels like six hours.

Response by poster: To answer the genre question, I'm looking for more hip hoppy stuff, but trying to be open to other stuff.

My list will be completely useless for someone starting from hip-hop. Abort!

Animal Collective songs do this a lot. Check out the albums Sung Tungs, Merriweather Post Pavilion, and Strawberry Jam.

Also, the song "Prelude to 110 or 220/Women of the World" by Jim O'Rourke has the same lines ("Women of the world take over, 'Cause if you don't the world will come to an end, And it won't take long") repeating throughout in harmony over a droning, 9 minute folk song.

Well, this definitely skews towards metal, but my favorite one of these end-of-song repeating refrains comes from Jello Biafra/DOA; The end of Full Metal Jackoff has the band repeatedly shouting "Ollie! For president! He'll get things done!"

Oh yeah, the Police, Message in a Bottle. "Sending out an SOS..." ad infinitum.

I don't know whether you consider it R&B, but "As" by Stevie Wonder meets these criteria, and is awesome.
