Where can I watch German television while in TX... or even better, from the internet?

I would like, both for interest in some of the programming (evening news, Karnevalissimo, Mer losse d'r Dom in Kölle, etc) and to keep up my German skills, to watch ZDF from the USA.

Also, I'd like to be able to watch Bundesliga matches from something other than the t-Mobile online site.

Using DirectTV, I haven't been able to find a service that'll let me order it on the television-- is there a way I can find it streaming on the internet?

Thank you

Beeline has a list as does about.com. Also, the question has been asked before, so see this thread for more answers.

previously - not sure if your desired channels/shows are available, but there are others from which to select.

you don't need german tv, the ZDF has a neat website that streams all their programs called 'mediathek.'

many programs are also available for free via the itunes store, such as the heute journal evening news programs (also in the mediathek). they're usually up there within minutes of the show being over.

GolTV shows Bundesliga matches sometimes, and you can get that from DirecTV (if you didn't know that already.) You might consider calling DirecTV and telling them what you're looking for. To me, their array of channels and packages is bewlidering.
