Is there a PC version of Fortress America?

I love the Milton Bradley Gamemaster Series of board games. Axis & Allies got a PC version. Shogun's play mechanic found its way into Shogun:Total War. Is there anything close to Fortress America?
Fortress America is one of my all-time favorite board games. I chased down a copy on eBay a few years ago, but I've been unable to scare up a game. I've never seen aything resembling a PC version, even in the freeware/indie arena.
Is there something out there that's close to it? I'm giving some thought to tackling it as a game-development exercise, but I'd rather not reinvent a someone else's wheel.
