MusicFilter: I recently discovered Cut Copy and think that their new album is fantastic. Do you have any suggestions for similar upbeat feel-good electronic music?

New Order
Pet Shop Boys

Have you tried going to last.fm or pandora.com and plugging in "cut copy"?

Best answer: Mountains in the Sky (also from Australia) will tear you a new hole. As will The Tough Alliance (Sweden).

Oppenheimer is kind of pop/rock/electronic depending on what song you get.

I don't know much about Cut Copy, but they came up on my Zoot Woman Pandora station, so you might check them out.

Best answer: Cut Copy is primarily on Modular Records, and I'd suggest other label-folks (Avalanches, MSTRKRFT, Presets, Muscles, etc). They also have a single released on Kitsuné Music, which has another great roster (but the label's based in France, which might make finding physical copies a bit harder or costlier).

For more Australian groups, this comp has good variety. I doubt you could find it around, but just look for more music by those artists. Cut Copy have their own FabricLive mix (#29), which could be another starting point.

Best answer: Most anything off the Ninja Tune label out to be good for yah. Try Fourtet, Dj Logic, LTJ Bukem, Prefuse 73, RJD2, Sun Electric, Wagon Christ and Funkstorung if you like people who, as the kids say, mix ill beats.

All of these are available on myspace if you want to give a listen.

To really appreciate Junior Senior, however, you must see the best music video ever made.
