What is this? It's to a Domestic Sewing Machine, definitely an older machine, pictures inside.

Best answer: It looks might similar to the buttonhole attachment on my mom's ancient sewing machine.

yup buttonholer. I bought one at a flea market just for the funky box it came in. I had no idea what it actually was other than a sewing machine attachment until my grandma identified it for me.
