Funky Auld Medina

A few years ago, I remember grooving on a funky version of Auld Lang Syne. It was by a male artist, vocals plus either solo guitar or guitar driven. It was in a folk-reggae style similar to I’m Yours by Jason Mraz. Ring any bells?

I think it's Billy Pilgrim's version. I couldn't find it online but I'll keep looking.

Okay, Billy Pilgrim changed their name to Pushmonkey, but I still can't find the song anywhere online.

Response by poster: Erm... Here's Pushmonkey's version of Auld Lang Syne. Definitely not what I was looking for. (Not so funky, not so folky.) Is this the version you were thinking of?

This is not at all the version I have. Further research has led me to believe that the version I have is by this Billy Pilgrim, not the Billy Pilgrim that became Pushmonkey.

Response by poster: Thanks Kattullus. It looks like that's not the version I'm looking for.

What I remember was that the vocal was in the Jason Mraz/Jack Johnson/John Mayer ilk, and the guitar groove was like Israel Kamakawiwo Ole's Somewhere Over the Rainbow or Mraz's I'm Yours.

I wish I knew more.
