Looking for statistics on european credit card market.

Given that I can't afford paying for very specialized reports right now, I am looking for public databases, such as the ECB's one, containing information about:
- absolute number of cc in circulation in the european market/countries
- number of trasaction per credit card, total transactions, value of transactions
- delinquency rates, number and value of instruments "securitized" with cc flows

and so on. All kinds of publicly available reports from private companies are also welcome. I am NOT attempting to seek which credit card is best for me, so comparisons between indivuals ccs wouldn't do. Thanks for your time.

these statistics may be hard to come by as credit cards work differently in europe. in many european countries you get offered one from the bank you have your checking account with, not an independent bank, and only after you have been a customer for a while. many european businesses are reluctant to accept them and will levy fees against you if you try to pay for one. the check card associated with your checking account is far more popular (it's called EC-card in some countries). you will also run into european privacy laws that will most likely prevent you from getting transaction per card, total and value as well as other individual information.

If you search around Eurostat you might find what you're looking for. It's the European Commission's statistics portal; it's pretty complete but you'll need to search quite a bit.
