Xmas spirit all though the year

What are some actual examples of this Christmas-time cliche?

"If only we could keep the spirit of this day all year round..."

I know this hackneyed sentiment has been expressed in tons of Christmas-themed narratives. But when I try to think of specific examples, I come up blank.

What are some books, movies, songs, etc. where someone expresses the wish that the "spirit of Christmas" isn't just a once-a-year event?

A Christmas Carol?

One of the things said about Scrooge after his "enlightenment" is that he knew how to keep Christmas in his heart all the year. I'm paraphrashing, but the story definitely mentions keeping the spirit of Christmas year-round.

This Sunday's Luann comic contained a watered down version of the sentiment.

Here's a hilarious take on it:

Christmas Every Day by William Dean Howells

Once there was a little girl who liked Christmas so much that she wanted it to be Christmas every day in the year, and as soon as Thanksgiving was over she began to send postcards to the old Christmas Fairy to ask if she mightn't have it. But the old Fairy never answered, and after a while the little girl found out that the Fairy wouldn't notice anything but real letters sealed outside with a monogram--or your initial, anyway...

The Christmas In Heaven musical number from the end of Monty Python's Meaning of Life?

It's Christmas in Heaven,
There's great films on TV,
The Sound of Music twice an hour,
and Jaws I, II, and III...

Families drawing near,
Oh that we could always see
Such spirit through the year..."

Response by poster: These are all great! Thanks so much. I don't want to be geeky and give every one a "best answer," but every one is a best answer.
