This ring, it vibrates?

Are vibrating cock rings any good?
Which to try, which to avoid? Good from either partner's perspective? I'm in a het relationship, but for posterity I think answers about any relationship that involves at least one appendage capable of sporting one are fair.

It's like you're having sex with a robot which is having sex with your partner.

This came up in conversation with a friend; she said it was fantastic, but that her boyfriend said it was meh at best.

I would describe the experience as hilarious and worth trying once.

For $8, you can find out for yourselves.
Personally? Meh.

Yeah, opinions wildly vary. Walgreens (if you have them where you live) carries a disposable model in the condom aisle that's cheap and works well. Give it a shot -- I and others I know like 'em, many don't.

Another vote for meh, at least for disposables.

From a guys perspective (as the wearer) it didnt really do anything for me, but my girlfriend at the time seemed to enjoy it.

Give it a shot. Another male perspective: meh. Girlfriend liked it.

The cockring itself definitely makes you last longer, and for guys that don't feel like they have as much control over ejaculation as they would desire, it's definitely worth trying.
From a female orgasm perspective, I found that it was pleasurable only sporadically--it kept getting misplaced and there's not much you can do about that when you're grinding this way and that.
I don't think I remember my partner saying the vibration did anything for him. But YMMV.

Female: yeah!, not meh. Didn't like disposable; too easy to break, too small and fiddly, battery died too quickly. Not worthless, but worth $20 for reusable.

If there's a lot of energetic thrusting, the little vibrating nugget can actually be painful if it comes into, er, frequent, forceful contact with the most sensitive part of your partner's body.

Apparently, I am in the minority on this one, but here was my experience (with an old boyfriend): He put it on, flipped the switch, and came, explosively, in under 15 seconds. All without even getting near me. He was not a premature ejaculator, either. I got quite a kick out of it, but it never made it into our sex play. Now, did he ever use it when I wasn't around? I dunno. Maybe we were using it incorrectly? It was the craziest thing I had ever seen.

Definitely get a disposable to try. They don't cost a lot, you can use them two or three times usually and it will give you some idea of if it's worth persisting with buying something fancier. FWIW my boyfriend and I love love love them, it's amazing for both of us.

Another voice for both of us loving it. We have the Rollerball Silicone Cock-Ring (second on this page) and it is great for both of us.

It's been awhile since I looked, but at least they used to sell this in their condom section. I live in Arkansas, one of precious few southern states where sex toys like it are legal, so it will vary state to state.

Speaking on behalf of myself, and a few ladies in my past, a vibrating cock ring with a tickler at clitoris level can be an exciting toy. Mine looks a bit like the One-Touch Vibrating Cock-Ring link above.
