Film of 70s(?) group on road trip

A couple of years ago (?) a doco type film was released about a band on the road, and I remember that a train trip was a big part of it. I always intended to see it, but never did, and now I'd like to find a DVD of it. Metafytes, can you help me...

My musical interests are rock, folk, folk/rock... and I seem to remember this was a 70s group... sorry, that is as much as I can remember.

Are you thinking of Festival Express? It was a documentary that was filmed in the summer of 1970 on a charter train trip across Canada featuring The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin and The Band etc.

Yep, sounds like Festival Express....amazing scene with Janis Joplin and Jerry Garcia and Rick Danko from The Band, just sitting around singing, drunk/high as hell... sad to think they're all gone now... seeing that scene in the movie was surreal to me, and made me glad that someone was able to document that time.
