Automotive engineering software

Automotive engineering software - chassis setup, shock graphing, etc. - any good resources? Recommendations? We're building a system to be used in a small racing shop. We'd like to outfit them with some tools that come in handy for race car setup and design (late models, modifieds, etc). Any nudges in the right direction are very much appreciated.

i saw no-one had answered as this was drifting off the bottom of the page so tried to track down brian beckman since in one of his articles he discussed writing a simulator (not really what you are looking for, but perhaps useful). anyway, while i can find various references on the net to him, he doesn't seem to have a home page or even a public email address.
