Long Tall Weekend

I want to accomplish something over a long weekend.
I have off of school until Tuesday, and for the first time in years I have no impending assignments. I want to accomplish something, but I don't really have any ongoing projects either. Any ideas?

Do you have a lot of stuff lying around? If so, go through everything you own and organize it. Throw out, sell, or give away anything you have but don't want or need. If that doesn't last you the whole weekend, use the rest of the time to clean everything.

Build a desktop sized catapult or trebuchet, then see how far you can launch flaming marshmallows.

I usually wind up wasting long weekends getting nothing done, so I'd recommend a short road trip. Get out, take some pictures (if you're far enough south, you can still get fall color!), journal...merely not logging in for a three-day stint would be an accomplishment!

What have you built from scratch recently? Dig around on www.instructables.com and pick an interesting project!

Where are you? If you're in Iowa, I have a lot of wood that needs to be cut and split.

I agree with parmanparman about the blog. It looks like it could be very interesting.
