Evo Devo Child-Rearing Book?

Help me pick a book for my Evo Devo class!
I have to review a book for my graduate evolutionary developmental psychology seminar. I am (or rather, I aspire to be) an attachment theorist/researcher, and I was hoping to find a book with a child-rearing focus. I have spent HOURS looking on Amazon, but there just doesn't seem to be much out there. I reaaaaally don't want to read a classic Bowlby text.
The review is due on Nov 6, so I'm looking for something less than 300 pages so as to save my poor, tired, thesis-driven life. Got any brilliant books you'd like to share?
