fig'et about it?

Fig Filter: Is it too late to buy or acquire 10-20 pounds of fresh figs in or near Austin?

I want to make spiced figs, and while I thought that the end of August was the time to get them, I can't find them in bulk anywhere.

I'm even willing to trade jars of spiced figs in return, if you or anyone you know has fig trees.

Best answer: I am about an hour out of Austin and mine came off in June and into July. They sometimes make again but I doubt this year.

Costco (at 183 & 360) had flats of figs last time I was there, although that was about a month ago.

I'm pretty sure I saw figs at that Costco yesterday.
