*For a Friend: I was looking for a specific book that is made up of mainly pictures. I think it was illustrated by one of the Star Wars conceptual artists. the image from the book that has stuck in my mind was of a tall ship with a huge flying saucer right next to it. No clue what the title was but I really wanted a copy of it so any help finding it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Best answer: Yep, sergeant sandwich is almost certainly right. Doug Chiang - wonderful artist. Here's the image you were thinking of, "History Interrupted", in a WIRED article. A larger version at Flickr. A pity that his website doesn't appear to have been updated for some time... he has some awesome work.

I'm sorry, I should pay more attention when I can't sleep. ;-) You were asking for a book - the book in which "Changing History" appears is called "Robota". Also, more Doug Chiang work in "Mechanika".
