Hello, how do I do a DIY tour of the Rail Park in Philadelphia? I've not been in town for the organized tours. Three miles of rough urban hiking and exploration is enticing. Where to start? What to see? Where to get a drink and lunch along the way?

Travelling to Philly for two days late July for college tours for my girlfriend's son. Staying two blocks from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell.

• What else do you recommend we see?
• Where should we get cheesesteaks from?

Part of an upcoming weekend trip will involve us leaving the Poconos area in PA off 84 (around Lake Wallenpaupack, PA) in the evening, stopping overnight somewhere nearby-ish. The direction we eventually want to head generally speaking is making our way west, then south on 81, towards MD/DC. Around 1986, my family visited a Hindu temple or similar religious facility in the Poconos area of Pennsylvania. I remember that the path from the parking lot up the hill to the building was a stairway of huge stone steps, each of which was painted with a different design. Does this temple still exist? Where is it? Online photos of Arsha Vidya Gurukulam, the Jain temple Siddhachalam, and Sringeri Sadhana Center don't look like what I remember.
