I'm spending next week in Ft. Lauderdale, and plan on going to see a Marlins game sometime during the week. I'd prefer to take some sort of public transit to the stadium, but the Marlin's site doesn't mention anything about it. Is there some relatively safe/reliable way to get there without having to drive myself? If so, where's the best place to park to get on the transit? My big reason to want to go this way is to avoid stadium traffic, so I'd like to catch a bus or whatever far enough from the stadium so as to avoid that.

I'm attending the IAFA conference in Fort Lauderdale this week. However, I've never been to this city and I have a few days to kill there once the conference is over. Obviously there's the beach and plenty of clubs, but can anyone point some hidden treasures?

Well, my family is moving from sunny NJ to Fort Lauderdale, FL (or to be more accurate, the suburbs of it) later this year, and I'll soon be spending a week or so there scoping the area out to see if I want to join them. Is there anything in particular I should keep an eye out for or try out, both for this area specifically and when looking at a potential move in general? Is there anything different or particular that a NJ boy might not know about, good or bad?
