I'm in the UK, and will be giving a pre-recorded video conference presentation remotely next month in the US. What is the deliverable I should be aiming for (YouTube link, QuickTime video, PDF with MP3, something else?) and what is the easiest, most hassle-free way of creating and delivering it? Okay, so I'm slow with the internet meme things, but only a few weeks ago did I come across the Piano Improv Guy
from Chat Roulette. Despite my inability to play piano or sing or rock the hoodie, my immediate thought was, "Wow, I wish I thought of that!" What other clever, creative ways of exploiting various media (that it probably wasn't intended for) provoked the same reaction for you? [more inside]

How much to charge for video licensing? I've licensed photos before, but never a video so I don't even know an appropriate range. The video in question is a minute and a half YouTube video featuring me and an invention of mine which has some modest interest (100K views). [more inside]

I love this 7+ hr video of the Bergensbanen
in Norway. The scenery is amazing and the fact that it's just one shot means that I can just leave it on on the background as a kind of moving landscape. I'm looking for your recommendations for something similar to play via computer on a pc, tv or flat panel monitor. [more inside]

Google likes to sign you into their search service once you sign into Youtube. It used to not be like this. I prefer to be logged into Youtube but not Google search/images/maps/docs/etc.. Is there any way to do this?

Is it possible to obtain free current movie trailers in a 1.78:1 aspect ratio (i.e. 2.35:1 matted to be 1.78:1)? If I download them from the Apple site
they're 2.35:1 without mattes. This is a problem because I wish to display them on a 16x9 monitor, so they'll stretch out to 1.78:1. [more inside]

Trying to find a video of a Kids in the Hall sketch featuring "the prostitutes." I haven't seen it in years but involved them getting a price guide from their pimp, but then throwing it away and again offering "25-cent handjobs" (or something). Youtube has been unhelpful, most KITH videos are unhelpfully labeled.

Help me find this funny 2- or 3-year-old YouTube video. Wife says the do-it-yourself advertising supplement is really helpful. Then she rolls it up and hits her sleeping husband with it to get him moving.

My sister needs to make YouTube videos for her business. The camera outputs MP4 files. Needs the ability to edit and add beginning and ending slides. Output should be uploadable to YouTube. Currently using VideoPad (on Vista) which keeps outputting video with out-of-sync audio. Suggested software should work on Vista or Windows 7. Any ideas? (besides Movie Maker)

I'm going to be in a cabin in the wilderness for three days with one of my best friends. We will each be bringing flip cameras with us.
We want to make a viral video and we're looking for ideas of what to shoot/make. Any ideas? Go wild! We're open to just about anything.
If we end up using your idea, we promise to mention your name in the credits.

When I watch certain videos on YouTube, they instantly degrade on start into colored blocks and artifacts that are a little reminiscent of '80s videotape artifacts. The audio remains audible, but the video looks like a mess. Example: this
, at 0:13, looks like this

I've been having problems with YouTube over the last couple of days. Most of the time it works just fine, but it's freaked out a few times, and not worked for an hour or so, and then gotten better. Here's what happens: The pages looks like this
(YouTube homepage), and videos won't play (annoyingly enough, page-ads play just fine). It tells me that my Flash player isn't up to date, which it is. Other flash-things work just fine, including other video sharing websites. Google Chrome is my primary browser but the same thing happens in Firefox. I've asked around and no one I know has had the same problem. What is wrong and how can I fix it?
