Trying to delete an old Flickr account that I made public for reasons only my younger self understands... [more inside]
So I want start using my Flickr account again, but have forgotten the password to Yahoo, which is used by Flickr. Even better, my rarely ever used yahoo account goes to an email address that I deleted years ago. Is there any way I can recover this account? I haven't used Yahoo in years. Bonus point: My iPhone still remembers the Yahoo mail account and can use the account just fine. Is there any way I can get the password from the phone?
A small organization registered a domain name several years ago, through Yahoo. They'd like to transfer it to a new registrar. However, the domain name was registered by someone who is no longer with the organization. That former employee registered using an email address which is no longer active, so no one (including former employee) can access the domain account or the email associated with it. Complicating things, the domain name will soon expire. How can the organization hold onto it?
It seems Yahoo finally agreed with me and is EOL'ing pipes.yahoo.com. Is there a comparable service I can migrate to? [more inside]

A friend of mine uses the SIDEKICK app (through g-mail ) to let her know when and where her outgoing g-mails get opened. She has told me that in the last few days all her emails to me (I have Yahoo, she has G-mail) show they were opened multiple times in Tokyo Japan. I changed my yahoo password immediately, but she continued to see my emails were being opened in Tokyo even after i changed my password. [more inside]

A document revealing my friend's private information has shown up on Google searches and she is hoping to have it removed. It looks as if someone posted the PDF to Yahoo Groups, as a file attachment. The trouble is that we can't figure out what Group it belongs to because the URL is obscure. [more inside]
Wanting to close my Yahoo account. How would I do so and save all past e-mails.
I have been using yahoo mail for at least 15 years. I liked it, worked just fine for me. The new format (which only showed up on my desktop; my i-pad's yahoo mail format has not changed) is frustrating, annoying, and not to my liking at all). Is there any way to go back to the old format? What (free) email server is most like the "old" Yahoo mail? I know everyone has their own favorite e-mail provider--what YOU like or YOU are used to. I know that G-Mail is probably the most popular provider these days, but I am not looking to be sold on your personal fave--I just want to know which provider is the most like the OLD yahoo, which is what I personally liked and was used to. I would particularly like to hear from former Yahoo users who switched to something else after this recent change (or, wishful thinking: figured out a way to use the old format). Thanks!
I saw some ads online showing a lable on the right top corner with a "i" in a triagle, by moving mouse to it it shows "AdChoices". Clicking on the label brought me to: http://www.aboutads.info/choices/#completed [more inside]

Yahoo News seems to have re-designed their site in a way that's removed the ability to enlarge the text of its news articles on an iPad... Is there a way to get around this? The person behind this question is nearly blind and doesn't want to re-learn a non-Yahoo news web portal....
A freelance writing client of mine wants me to do some articles basically chasing Yahoo search trend topics. Not debating the wisdom or efficacy of this. It pays; that's all I care about. What I do need to find out is a better way to track these trends than just going to Yahoo's front page and seeing what is listed as Trending there. There are only ten topics listed there, with no indication of rising or falling activity. Try as I may, I can find no page dedicated to this on Yahoo. To complicate matters, the phrase "Trending Now" appears to be a section they have in their News that has nothing to do directly with trending search topics. All my Google-Fu ends up pointing to that. Am I missing something? Can someone toss me a link? BONUS: an iOS app that I can see all this from!

I remember reading company guidelines that detailed exactly how bloggers (aggregators, really) at HuffPo or Yahoo must choose subjects and style. It was put very aggressively, along the lines of: if a story doesn't promise at least 7000 individual clicks, don't even bother. I can't find this document anymore. Help me, please? [more inside]

Searching my yahoo mail usually fails. I enter the word/phrase I'm looking for then hit the Search button, and all I get is a blank page that seems to be loading. That's it! It gets stuck there. Sometimes the search is successful, but recently, more often than not, it doesn't work. Does anyone have a solution? I use Firefox 4.0.1 and Yahoo Mail Classic. I can't remember when this problem started, perhaps a few weeks/months ago.

Yahoo email ( a non paid account on yahoo.com) just does not seem to do it in "push" fashion. Email is erratic. This is despite resetting "all settings" and re installing account. Any solutions guys? Does anyone know the yahoo IMAP settings, as I am told that solves the problem? Thanks

My Yahoo small business account (webhosting) was closed because my autopay credit card expired. I called to try to reopen and was led to believe that my website would be put back up like old times once I signed up for another year of webhosting. This does not now seem to be the case and I am now going to cancel the order within the 30 day period. Who do you recommend as the best webhost provider for a very small service business? (HTML5 capability would be nice.) I need to get up and running with someone else asap before i miss more emails/potential clients. Also, should I use the new webhost provider for email or something like googleapps? Thank you for any advice.
