One thing I really like about OSX is the fact that when you have a jpeg on the desktop, you get a thumbnail preview. I run Windows XP, and I simply don't have the money for a new computer, let alone a Mac, though.
Is there a program out there that will let me see thumbnail previews of jpegs on my desktop?

As a followup to this
question (2 years ago)...
I need
in WinXP to have three features (and I'll take
any of the three, preferably all).
1) Bordered Cursor (round ring, called
Pinpoint for OSX). Bonus for a visual change when you click (and right click)
2) Key overlay like
KeyCastr for OSX, showing the audience control/alt keys as you type them in an overlay.
3) Dynamic Zoom (yes, I know it's open gl based, I have only open GL cards) to push in. MacOS Universal Prefs.

I'm trying to reinstall Windows XP, but I'm running into driver issues. I'm using a Dell Inspiron E1405 that I want to dual boot XP and Feisty Faun on (I want to go Linux full time, but I needs my WoW, and I can't get Wine to be friendly with my Video Card). I'm running into driver issues.

What are possible causes for explorer.exe to blowup to 70-80+ % CPU usage??
NO I do not have an trojans or viruses, my machine doesn't have any extra crap running on it in the background.
Typical things I use are Video editing applications like Sny Vegas, Sorenson Squeeze, and Photoshop - usually after opening/running a couple things - bam - task manager shows exploere.exe hogging & bogging down.
Any ideas? Should I just wipe/reinstall windows?

Let's say I spend long hours staring at a computer screen where some of the fonts are too small and I have no way of increasing them, which creates a diabolical eye-strain device of reasonable fonts mixed in with unreasonable system fonts. I normally have no vision problems otherwise. Is this going to damage my eyesight if I keep it up? (Medical opinions and links to medical articles welcome). And is Leopard's "resolution independence" or anything else in Leopard going to bring OSX near to where XP is in terms of being able to increase the system fonts without lowering the resolution? (I'm using a Macbook Pro).

Uh-oh. My computer (MS XP) didn't make the leap and change itself for daylight savings time. I thought I was ready - I installed all the recommended updates. (Someone left the computer on overnight - that couldn't have caused our trouble, could it?) Is there any I should do other than manually change the clock in the systems tray?

I have a client system that has Vista preinstalled. The client wants XP Pro on the system.
It's a laptop, and the manufacturer (HP) only provides Vista drivers. Will the Vista drivers work in Windows XP?
Is there a hardware-equivalent HP system that is the Windows XP version that I can get drivers for to use on this one? It's an HP DV6235NR.
Thanks!
