Which games allow you to play on XBL with multiple local participants?

Which Xbox 360 games allow you to connect and play multiplayer online with one Live account, but with multiple local participants playing split-screen? For example, Halo 3 has this feature. Do any other games have this feature - or even allow you to connect and play with two valid Live accounts?

8-year-old on Xbox Live...friend or folly?

Is xbox live appropriate for an 8-year-old? Non-gamer here with Xbox360 gamer 8-year-old. I understand you can play against others with an xbox live account (my son's cousins 3000 miles away etc..) His thing is sports simulations (FIFA 10, Madden...actually everything) and I think it would enrich his experience to play with real people...more than he does right now. Are there any pros/cons/pitfalls I should be aware of? Remember, he's 8. Appropriate?

Modern Q*bert-style game?

I miss Q*bert 3 for SNES. Is there anything like it on Xbox Indie Games (or elsewhere)? I know that Q*bert is now owned by Sony, but I believe even they only have the original on PSN. I don't have a PS3, but I do have a Wii and an Xbox 360. Sadly, I don't believe Q*bert 3 itself is coming to Virtual Console.

Can I stop XBox from telling me my friends have logged in?

I'm streaming movies from Netflix to my XBox 360 - can I get it to stop bugging me whenever any of my friends logs in to XBox Live? If you're logged in to XBox Live, whenever any of your friends logs in or out, a message pops up on your screen saying so, along with a little notification sound.

I generally find this fine when using the XBox to play a game, but unfortunately, it also happens when you are logged into XBox Live in order to watch a movie that you're streaming from Netflix. I find this extremely distracting, and mildly annoying.

I've looked for an option to turn this off, and googled and such, but haven't been able to find a way to get this to stop, short of de-friending all my friends. Is there a way?

PowerBook&NetworkingFilter: Dialogue box freezes after I choose System Prefs > Sharing. Help? Alright. I'm trying to bridge the connection between my wireless network and my ethernet port (in order to get my Xbox 360 online). Trouble is, once I click on Sharing in the System Preferences menu, it stays on loading forever. (Forever = I let it run for forty-eight hours. Nothing.) All other programs work while this happens. Nothing else appears to be wrong with my system. Any ideas what might cause this?

Details:
PowerBook G4 w/ Leopard
Wireless adapter and ethernet both built-in
Wireless network is password-protected
Linksys router

I'll respond to any questions within a day--more details available if necessary.

Is there a way to monitor what programs are accessing the internet on my wireless network?

Is there a way to monitor what programs are accessing the internet on my wireless network? My internet speed suddenly grinds to a halt every night when my roommates are using their computers. Usually all they are doing is typing papers and doing other offline tasks. After looking at their computers, it doesn't appear that they have any file-sharing programs sapping the bandwidth. Are there any (free) network monitoring tools that will help me figure out if, among the three of us, someone has a program running in the background that is accessing the internet and killing our bandwidth? I briefly looked on google, but most programs seem overly complex for what I am looking for, so any suggestions would be appreciated!

Here's a bit more information about the problem for anyone interested:

The problem occurs when I'm trying to play Halo 3 on Xbox Live. I can play just find during the day and my connection speed is always a full green bar while playing. At night however, my connection drops to a single red bar, which makes the game unplayable. The Xbox is connected by an ethernet cable to our Linksys wireless router, and our wireless network is password protected.

Is there a resource to find out what features/problems have been addressed when a game auto-updates on my Xbox 360? So many games have auto-updated (heaven forbid we call them patches) but they never mention what is going on. I would like to know what is going on when those happen, but I can't find it anywhere online or in the xbox.

Xbox live card refund?

X-Box Live scratch and play cards: I scratched the code right off. Now what? My fiance bought one of those subscription cards from Best Buy. It's like a phone card, except you scratch off the code cover to expose the code. The problem is that when he scratched off the code cover, the code went with it. Obviously, this has rendered it useless. He contacted Microsoft, who said they can't do anything about it. The card has another number next to the code, but I'm not sure what it is for or how unique it is to his specific card. He also has his receipt from Best Buy. He tried calling them, but was put on hold for too long. He checked the website, which only told him that iTunes cards are non-refundable. He is afraid this situation will be similar.

Is there anything we can do to un-waste these $20?

How does one unsubscribe from Xbox Live?

M$KafkaFilter - How does one unsubscribe from Xbox Live? The only information I have is my credit card number.

I can't remember which email address or password I used, so I can't login on xboxlive.com.

I called the 1800. It's a VoicePrompt labyrinth! No humans.

Disappearing XBOX 360 downloads

XBOX 360 downloaded levels disappearing I own & enjoy Call of Duty 2 for the 360, and had purchased two map packs for the game. Eventually, the original game disc got lost & I purchased a replacement copy used - while everything works fine, the extra maps/levels I bought via XBL and downloaded (and had been playing for months) no longer show up in the map list, despite me being signed in as the same user who purchased them. Anyone out there had this experience, or know of a solution?
