One last question about my crisis

I’m still having panic attacks. I’m having a hard time getting my thoughts together because I’m so stressed -- and they’re kind of circular on top of that -- so forgive me if this post is tough to understand. [more inside]

Feeling impatient with my impatience.

I am impatient. Not with standing in line or waiting for my name to be called (I actually don't mind that), but with life. I cannot sustain a practice of "living in the moment". If you know how to be patient and wait through the unknown for your life to unfold, please mentor me through this! I'm desperately tired of being this way. [more inside]

Headache from Urination Strain (worried)

hey everyone. A short while back, I was in a phase where I was straining alot when I was peeing. I was being very OCD about emptying my bladder is what I'm saying. I did this until I started to feel a pain in my abdomen as well as an aching sensation in the right side of my head. I immediately stopped. While the pain in the abdomen went away, the headache persisted. Eventually I went to my MD and he didn't seem that worried about it and said it would go away. The head sensation sort of changes often. Sometimes it's a mild to moderate pain and sometimes it feels like sort of a cold feeling on the right side of my head if that makes sense. i wanted to get you guy's takes on this.

Still having problems -- "greatness", self-comparison, etc.

I initially felt better after last week’s question, but everything came back... I think the answers last week (which were very helpful, by the way) helped me resolve specific career questions, but not the underlying emotional issues. I’ll try to explain it better this time. [more inside]

Modern translation of an ancient quote

George Lincoln Walton in his 1908 book Why Worry? quotes Marcus Aurelius as having said this:
When a man has done thee any wrong, immediately consider with what opinion about good or evil he has done wrong. For when thou hast seen this, thou wilt pity him, and neither wonder nor be angry.
How might the underlined portion be rephrased in today's English? I'm having a hard time understanding what Aurelius meant.

Depressed father, mother miserable too - what can we adult children do?

My dad, in his 60s, seems to be depressed. He is deeply unhappy and anxious, and he's also become angry and bitter to the point of a total personality change, mostly with my mum. She is miserable, and me and my siblings are so worried about both of them, especially because Dad refuses to get any help or even have a conversation about this. What, if anything, can we do here? Worried about house purchase falling through

(Should-I-be-worried filter) Spouse & I are buying a house in another city. The closing is on Wednesday (3 business days from now). Realty paperwork & mortgage process have all gone great, no hitches. Now, at 4:30 pm on a Friday afternoon, the Commitment Letter from our bank arrived but has a blurb asking both my spouse & I to provide letters from our employer certifying that we'll both be keeping our jobs, working from home in the new city. This was never part of the equation. [more inside]
