Last night, when I was eating my spaghetti, I found a worm! It was light green in color and about the size/shape of a meal worm, but with little claw type things towards the head.

My Mom drank a can of coke. She discovered after drinking there was a mass of live worms in the can. She probably ingested some of these alive. I AM VERY CONCERNED. Photo below.

The US and Israel, according to all accounts, are behind the Stuxnet and Flame worms. Does the creation and deployment of these cyber espionage worms violate any treaties or international law? Does the creation and deployment of these worms violate any existing domestic law?

After eating lunch at a friends house today I was shocked to see that his dog was chewing on a fleshy dear head found in the woods. Now I'm worried that I could have contracted worms from the dog if it had been chewing on the head before it licked my hand when I arrived. Is there anything I can do early on to prevent infection? I don't want worms in my stomach, brain, or anywhere else!

I have a vermicomposter ready to go but I need worms! Red wrigglers (Eisenia foetida) to be precise - a pound or two. The local worm vendors I found online haven't called me back and I'd rather get these locally instead of through the mail. What's a good local source for worms?

Two months into my vermicomposting and my worms are still alive, which means something must be going right. The bad news is I'm crushing them with vegetable matter. How can I keep my compost from overflowing?

My worms are getting cold! I started a vermicompost this summer, in a big plastic bin on my balcony. It's working very well, but the temperatures have dropped and the little wrigglers are getting cold and slow. Two options: move the bin to my unfinished basement with a dirt floor, or try to insulate the bin well enough to keep them warm in their current location. The basement is probably best, but I'm worried about mice! Any suggestions to keep all of the critters happy?

My backyard is infested with suicidal worms. We have a pool. I've left the cover off this winter as it allows the filter to work better, but the bottom of the pool is covered in worms that have drowned themselves. Vacuuming the bottom at least every two weeks. Where are they coming from, as I never see them crawling across the deck towards the pool, even in the rain, and why are they doing this?

Has anyone here actually had worms? The medical sites
say that 1-2 billion people have intestinal worms, with at least 17% of Americans carrying something. You can be anonymous by saying it was a friend that had it, or just mention a friend that really did. Please, no pet stories.

Can I put earthworms into a rotating composter? I have one of those drum kinds that sit off the ground on a rack that spin around for aeration. The spinning takes the place of the earthworm action in the traditional pile, but I've heard that you can put worms in the spinning drums as well to speed up the decompostion process.

Our three cats have fleas and worms. We've tried a couple of over-the-counter products, but they haven't helped (especially with the worms, which are our biggest concern). The vet wants to sell us expensive remedies, of which we are very skeptical. Before we shell out big bucks for the stuff the vet suggests, are there other things we should try? What has worked for you?
