I work as a graphic designer for a small retail production company in a very rural area. We're a very tech-centric company with about 10 employees, and 4 core players: myself, two other managers and the owner. All of us are from the city, and the owner, one of the managers and myself have been friends since before I came to work for the company (I'm closer friends with the other manager than I am with my boss, but we all met online)... Here's the rub:

I am 19 and starting a small IT business in orange county, CA. I have 3 medium size clients that use me regularly, and I've taken on my first employee part time recently. But I just had my first month where no one needed IT work done, because I'm too good of a job! And this indicates to me that I need to do some proactive advertising. What is the best method of advertising to get my company's name out there?

Over the next few months, I need to buy a
lot of new clothes to bulk up my professional (woman's) wardrobe. I want everything I buy to fit well. Slacks, skirts, blazers need to be lined. I will not buy anything without trying it on first, so web and catalog shopping is out. I don't have the budget to buy this all at full price. What kinds of strategies can I employ to get the best deals possible? Are there specific stores I should be shopping in? Are there sales I should watch for? Are there specific dates, weekends or times of year when I can get the best deals? How can I find out about and obtain about great coupons and upcoming sales?

Where can I find "low-tech" jobs online?
We just had a baby and so my wife has to stay at home and take care of him.
However, she still has some free time and she would like to do some stuff from home. She's a medical doctor with a bit of IT experience (mostly as a user, though). So I was thinking to find her some work online, maybe entering some data or as a translator (she speaks English and German, German is her mother-tongue) or maybe other "low-tech" jobs like this...
So do you have any idea where can I find such jobs?
Thanks!
