I'll be on a work trip with my boss and some coworkers during the election tonight, and it was suggested that we all watch the results unfold at a bar somewhere. I usually avoid politics talk at work for the sake of sanity and career, and because my views may not easily fit within the big corporation I'm part of. How do I best navigate this night without anything going wrong (keeping in mind alcohol is involved)?

Would appreciate advice on part-time jobs in Glasgow, for a mature student with an eye on building her CV more than earning pocket money (though that would be good too!).

What would you suggest for improved social skills, fitting in, decreased awkwardness, and undoing a reputation for being annoying at work? I'd especially love help for nerds with social anxiety who need to fit in with mainstreamy socialite sorts of people.

How do I (or we) speak to my manager about his increasing lack of involvement in what we feel are the core components of a product's (re)launch, especially when the stakes in the launch include: our careers, the fate of the company, and the jobs of fellow colleagues in the office?

How can I once and for all tell my boss that I don't want to keep teaching the unqualified workers he hires ...without getting fired for insubordination or seeing like I’m not a team player?

I work in an office where one of our managers is very overtly political. Slogans, "[opposite party] go home!," pictures of Dear Leader, and other partisan paraphanalia are par for the course with this person. It's in email signatures and publicly visible in other areas of our department. Is this excessive or am I just over-sensitive?
