I'm a medical student, taking a year off before residency. During the year, I'm going to be working for a new start up that creates medical apps. I will be creating content for their apps and working on their social media strategy. Does anyone have any ideas about how I can determine what I should be paid, and/or how to negotiate it?

Need to do a simple analysis around pay and experience fairness.
Example:
Two project managers managing exactly same kind of projects and have similar performance levels:
PM 1 -> Pay $130,000 ; Experience 15 years;
PM2-> Pay $80,000 ; Experience 3 years;
I want a mathematical way of analyzing if the person getting paid $80,000 is being under payed.
Now I know there are industry standards and charts available. I want to do something that may not be perfect but gives a sense.
How much weight should be given to experience and can this be factored in mathematically?
Please dont get hung up on accuracy. I want a logical analysis method that does not need to be entirely accurate.
Also, where can I find industry charts comparing pay and experience

Should I take a 40% pay cut to change jobs?
The new job is in a different industry where I'll be starting from scratch. It will probably mean longer hours and the pay is terrible compared to what I'm getting now, but I really want to leave my current job.

I need to know if I'm being underpaid. I work for family and I think this actually gets me worse treatment than if I were a stranger. I am a skilled nutritionist with a background in biology. I write nutritional programs for people in the context of a retail nutrition store. I am good at what I do and get results. I am well liked by the customers. I also design much of the advertising for the store, for example small interior signs and large exterior signs. I use Photoshop and I have a background in design and art. Not to toot my own horn, but I am good enough that I've been offered outside work. I also write and do the layout for a monthly scientific newsletter. It takes me about 12 hours to produce. I can write well. (I got A's in college English at a good university). I've been working there for 5 years and I get paid around $29,000. I am beginning to write all of the web content for the website as well. It requires in depth knowledge of science. Thank you in advance.

I've recently come to realize that my job isn't fulfilling or challenging, and is making me depressed and helping ruin my personal relationships.
Should I stay at this job and be unhappy but well-compensated, or leave and make half as much but possibly be happy?

UKJobsFilter: So, the medieval banqueting centre I've been playing Robin hood at for the past 16 years just rang me up to say they're selling the building to developers, and at the end of April that's it, all done.
I've been self-employed for most of that time and have been invoicing on a 'per gig' basis for years now, but I'm wondering if, as they've easily (by a factor of
lots) been my main employer for those sixteen years whether a 'that's your lot, chum' is all I'm getting, or is there a 'self-employed severance' for long term invoicers?
