Different background color for each WordPress category?

Just like it sounds above - for some reason this has been much more difficult than expected. More inside, naturally. [more inside]

Rel=canonical and WordPress

You have two sites - site1.com and site2.com. Site1 has been around for years, and you've merged it with another site to become site2.com. Site1.com has accumulated years worth of links, backlinks, domain authority, and so on - and you want to pass that one to site2.com in the best way possible. More inside, naturally. [more inside]

WordPress plugin filter: is there a plugin that does this?

So a friend of mine wrote a book, and he's promoting it via his website. He's also enabled buyers of the book to read the book online - a system which I actually prefer to use instead of the PDF. He hired someone to do the technical lifting, but I've GOT to believe there's a WordPress plugin that does something similar...? I have a book of my own, naturally. [more inside]

Mirror, mirror, make my pages mirror...

WordPress MU-filter: My site is xyz.com. I'm trying to setup subdomains (abc.xyz.com) that will mirror / copy *selected* pages from the main site, but not all. What plugin / technique works best? More after the jump. [more inside]

All you need is one...

I just want a WordPress plug-in that can display a slideshow of photos. No drama, no fuss, no need to make 13,000 choices. Bonus points for ability to go full-screen if the user chooses. [more inside]

No spam please. We're American.

Oh, dear. It seems my WordPress blog has decided to randomly insert visible links to an online pharma company. What's going on, and how do I stop it? [more inside]

Script kiddie, cron job, or 'there's an app for that'?

After three years of Blogspot and Flickr, I'm finally moving to my very own unlimited storage, unlimited bandwidth servers. (Yes, I know that's not really unlimited, but that's not going to be a problem). The problem is that said photos are on blogspot and flickr, and there's 1,000+ posts with perhaps 5,000 photos. Tell me there's an automated way / script to bring everything under one roof...? [more inside]
