This weekend I'm setting up a website for an academic event. I'd like the homepage of the site to have large, clickable progress bars that display the number of posts for each of the subpages (News & Announcements, Blog, Events, etc.). As more posts are added to each of the subpages (posts would likely be sorted and displayed by category and tag), its respective progress bar takes up more screen real estate and the tally count listed on/near it increases. Basically, I want the homepage to look like a giant, dynamic bar chart. Is there a freeware (or cheap) template, widget or piece of code that allows me to do this?

Wordpress.org Links Widget Problem: This seems like it should be relatively easy, but I can't figure it out – Is there a way I can change the titles of the Wordpress Links Widgets (Blogroll)
as seen in the admin panel? I'm using many instances of the the links widget for different groups of links (trust me that there's a good reason for this), and currently what I see in my sidebar section in the Widgets area of the admin panel is a column of LINKS, LINKS, LINKS, LINKS, etc., when what I want to see is LINKS Topic A, LINKS Topic B, LINKS Topic C, etc.

Wordpress addons: I want to build a basic cms site where I can add properties. I know wordpress well, but I know it is restricted to adding pages or news. Is there any addons where I can make it so I can add my properties into categories. Name, image and details.

Our group blog (WordPress 2.1.1) confuses our IDs, and so sends email notifications to the wrong author. Also, this screws up loads of other stuff too.
