I'm utterly baffled...why does iTunes import long CDs with errors every time I turn ON
error correction, but with error correction off it works fine? [more inside]

I have thousands of WMA files I want converted to MP3. Is there a freeware program or a good inexpensive program that will batch convert the files while preserving the original bitrate and ID3 in the final MP3 file and also creating a directory structure such as artist\album? This is for Windows 2000 or Windows XP.

I'm looking for a free program to convert WMA to MP3 in OS X? The closest thing I came up with a google search is EasyWMA. It's cheap, but not free.

I downloaded the Jodix wma to mp3 converter and it keeps telling me that I need DirectX 8.1 or better. I have Directx 9.0 on my machine. What do I need to do to make this program work?

I swear I saw an Apple demo where they just dragged WMA files right into Garageband 3. Is this possible? [more inside]

I want to buy an iPod Nano. This makes sense given that I already have 70+ gigs of MP3s all organized with iTunes. However, I also love Rhapsody
which uses DRM protected WMA files that won't play on an iPod. [more inside]

Before I spend the $9.95 or whatever to purchase a MS approved plug-in for Media Player, are there any good AND free utilities available to convert music files from WMA to MP3?

MP3 to WMA in OS X, EI.EI.O.
I'm looking for some utility to convert MP3s to WMA format under OS X. I have a cheap "MP3" player
that will either take some proprietary format of MP3, that will never never ever work under OS X, or takes Windows Media WMA files, no matter what platform. It can run from iTunes, the Terminal, or some magic. Anyone have any ideas? [more inside]
