What's a computer?

I'm using an old 401k rollover to pay for graduate school. Tuition is a higher education expense, so it qualifies for penalty-free withdrawals, and the PATH Act confirmed that "purchase of computer or peripheral equipment" is also a qualified expense (as is software). Do things like adapters and dongles fall under the aforementioned "computer and peripheral equipment", or would I have to separate those out? [more inside]

Forgot to take celexa for 2 days - what can I now?

I'm on 20mg day of citalopram/celexa for generalised anxiety. I stupidly forgot to take it over the weekend. Have found it and taken today's dose but can already feel withdrawal anxiety amping up. Is there anything I can do to make this less painful until it gets back into my system? I work from home so suffer from loneliness and lack of distractions, though I have meetings with a nice colleague tomorrow. I also have a legal appointment on Thursday that is making me very anxious.

How to deal with severe SNRI withdrawal symptoms?

After a few months on Cymbalta, I was hit with pretty intolerable side effects - extreme fatigue, weakness, and dizziness being predominant. I asked my doctor if he could take me off it, and he did so - albeit with a very rapid taper, which I (and he?) felt was justified by the side effects. It has been 2.5 weeks since I stopped the Cymbalta, and I have been experiencing intense withdrawal on top of the effects I had been feeling previously. [more inside]

Doctor Being Weird About Prescription, How To Discuss?

My doctor is now acting strangely over it and changed my dose on refill without telling me. I'm not sure how to talk to him over this, without the risk of being seen as a drug seeker. [more inside]

Advice for cashing out an IRA

I have about $3,000 dollars in an IRA from before I went back to school and was working full time. Half of that is money I had contributed, and half is from my former employer. Due to a teaching assistantship falling through this semester I could use a little bit more cash to feel financially secure. I'm considering cashing out the IRA, but would appreciate advice. IRA in withdrawal phase - should I stay or should I go?

I'm about to reach age 59 1/2 and poised to begin making monthly withdrawals from my IRA. What questions do I need to ask the broker about the fee structure for doing this? If the fees seem unreasonable, now do I shop around for a new home? Would anyone like to recommend a plan they have experience with in this phase of an IRA?

Are Clonazepam and Zopiclone similar in terms of causing withdrawal?

I take clonazepam for anxiety. I take 1.5 mg around 6 - 7 times a week which avoids me withdrawal. Lately I have been taking zopiclone for sleep. I take 7.5 mg about twice a week. I know these two drugs are similar. Does taking these drugs like this increase my chance of going through withdrawal since they both act upon the same area of the brain? I know they are both addictive and have a similar structure, but do they create the same kind of withdrawal? I took 1.5 mg of clonazepam yesterday and 7.5 mg of zopiclone to sleep. When can I expect withdrawal to start if it does and when do I know I am in the clear?

Your experiences with Seroquel withdrawal

I do have a call in to my clinic's emergency on-call dr and my therapist and have talked to 2 pharmacists but wanted to get other people's experiences w/this. While I am diagnosed with severe mental illness (Bipolar II, GAD, PTSD, ADD, sleep disorder) and I take a lot of medications for it (Viibryd 40 mg, Abilify 10 mg, Clonazepam 2-4 mg, Adderall 35 mg), I've been on Seroquel 100 mg just for sleep for at least a year now. That is the only reason it was prescribed to me, and I'd tried Ambien, Trazodone, and Sonata as well for sleep with no luck. I was able to start falling asleep w/o the Seroquel last week so decided to see if I could go off it. I asked my doctor Tuesday and she said it was fine but not to be afraid to take it if I couldn't sleep. She didn't mention anything about withdrawal, but I have been feeling awful every day since with no energy, no appetite. (More info in extended area.) [more inside]

Clonazepam/Klonopin Withdrawal

I took Klonopin as needed maybe once or twice a week. I took a 1 mg dosage. Last Thursday I decided to come off of it and I haven't taken any for 6 days. When do I know I am in the clear and I will not go through withdrawal? I know withdrawal can be horrid. Tomorrow it will be one week since I took any medication but I know they do have a long half life.
