I have been having a "war" with some competitors. They meet in the same restaurant where I've called a meeting next week. My meeting is couched as an "open meeting" (meaning anyone who is interested can come). It's a roundtable meeting of like minded people and meant to be informal, and it's not through any employer. I've put the invitation up publicly onto a blog. The problem is, if the three people who I've warred with were to show up, the meeting could quickly become their meeting. I want to take hold of the reins of my own meeting.

Is it worth it at 40yrs. old to take out student loans and go back to school full-time for 2 years? The profession I am interested in has a starting pay around 45-60K and is in the healthcare profession, so jobs are plentiful. I would be taking out about 30K in loans and of course, losing my current salary. My spouse and I both make pretty good money, we have a 4 month old child, we own a home and have 2 car notes, but no other debt. Considering these factors is it worth it to take on that amount of debt at 40 to make that kind salary?
Is having a more satisfying career, being a happier person, parent and spouse (not that I am unhappy personally, just very dissatisfied with my career) worth the loss of salary and debt?
Is that fair to my family?

Does anyone know if the music in the English trailer for The Girl Who Played With Fire is original to the film, or if it was pilfered from somewhere else?

BizarroFilter: GoogleFu failing me, very much need to stare into the abyss of my favourite cartoon of all time. Dan Pariro, Bizarro: Coke machine (a "That's Life!" machine, actually) offering such things as "Virtue" "Integrity" etc, but with yellow sticky reading "SOLD OUT" over "Shiny Crap".

Today was the first day the stimulus withholding showed up in my paycheck. I can't tell: is this additional $13 just a change in withholding, or is my annual income tax actually reduced by $400? If it's just another bullshit rebate, I do not want this money. Please advise.
