Experience with Rover 4G internet

Does anyone have experience with Rover 4G internet in the Los Angeles (near UCLA campus) and Orange County (specifically the 92842 region) areas? I can't be bound to a contract at the moment, so this seems to be the next best alternative. I've checked the coverage maps and there are towers nearby with full coverage of the areas that I will be in. But that doesn't mean much in real world tests, so I'd like to know what your download/upload speeds are at various times of the day. And have they ever sent you a warning letter for always being connected. Thanks.

3rd party wifi adapter for xbox?

Can I use a third party wireless adapter for an XBOX360? I've long been frustrated by not having wireless on my xbox. I almost never want to be online with the thing, but when I do, I'd rather not drag a cable through the house. Now I've got a radio labs wireless adapter/antenna booster. I was just looking at the official 360 adapter, and am struck that they're probably very similar. Can I use my third part adapter, or is the 360 software so picky that it's not going to work? Thoughts? I'd rather not pay for this crap, Microsoft has enough of my filthy lucre already.

My old wireless connection has disappeared and I'd like it back!

My wife and I have a MacBook and a Linksys wireless router. The last few days our internet connection has been spotty, so this afternoon I reset the router. Since doing that we're able to connect to the wireless, but our network name has changed to "linksys" and no password is required to connect to it. How can I change it back to the old network name/password? I've tried going into the AirPort and Network preferences sections, but it doesn't give me the option of changing the name/password for the connection.

Wifi to dialtone device for EBT readers?

I've been approved to accept EBT payments at my farmers market. However, the free machine the state provides requires a phone line, which I do not have. I do have wifi, however! Losing my (free WiFi) connection

When I start a wifi session (at a coffee shop for instance), the bubble will say "additional login may be required" which, when I open a web page, is just an "I accept" disclaimer. I can't get connected and I can't get the login screen. I've tried everything I can think of to get it to work but it just seems like I have to come back the next day. Any tricks to get me back on?
