Probem synching Outlook, Gmail, Windows 8
I'm having trouble synching Gmail with Outlook 2007 on Windows 8.
It may be because Windows 8 has a mini Outlook app that syncs with Gmail already.
I have connected the Gmail account with Outlook, and it is sending and receiving, but strangely about 50% of the messages that go to Gmail online don't go to Outlook, so I'm at only a 50% sync rate.
This is quite strange - does anyone know how this may be?

Using Windows Vista at work: Once I finish making changes to a file in Microsoft Word 2007, I want to attach the file to an email in Outlook 2007. Currently, I am opening subfolder after subfolder getting to it either on the desktop or in the attach file dialog in Outlook, but that's annoying. Please advise. [more inside]

My nice boss has tried to make everyone's life easier by putting work she wants us to do in subfolders with our names on them, in her inbox. We all have delegate read access to her inbox but can't see the subfolders when we go to it. What permissions does she need to set us (or what else does she have to do) in order for us to see the subfolders?

I've got a bunch of (important) single .msg files that I want to read on my Mac (10.5.x). Any advice? Any tool that converts entire mailboxes doesn't seem to apply, and the only dedicated .msg reader
I could find is broken. Renaming as .txt doesn't work either. Nor does Emailalchemy or NeoOffice. Help!

I have .PST files created via Outlook (Win) 2003 that I need to look into. However, I have Outlook (Win) 2000 on this computer, and it can't read a newer version (thanks, Redmond). Is there some other way to open these?

How does my Windows Mobile PDA communicate with our office Exchange Server successfully without using a VPN, when I have to use a VPN with Microsoft Outlook to get at it?
(And then are there any PC-based programs that can use the same technique as the PDA?)

I have a machine running Outlook 97. Somehow, the SMTP server has become changed to 'net' (that's all it says - it should be nameofdomain.com). I am unable to change this back - every time I try, the next time Outlook goes to send and receive, it attempts to locate 'net' again. Any idea what's going on here? Google is little help on such generic keywords and the MS knowledge base doesn't seem able to help. Spyware check reveals nothing. XP Home.

Internationalising email in WinXP
. My wife can read emails sent to her in Thai script using Outlook on our Win XP machine, but I can't work out how to configure the machine so that she can type in Thai (using out Thai/ English keyboard) in a non-html email. Outlook help mentions configuring using Microsoft Office Tools from the program manager - but that requires using the XP discs, which we don't have as it was preinstalled by the PC manufacturer. Anyone got any ideas? I don't want to change the language of the whole O/S/ (there's a download from microsoft.com to do that) as I don't read Thai. We're by no means married to Outlook; Moz, Opera etc would be fine. We have Thai fonts.
