Why is Time Machine trying to backup 35 GB of data every single day when I'm only using 300 GB of my 500 GB HD and I know I have not changed or added that much in the time since my last backup? [more inside]

Can someone tell me how to get EtherPEG for OSX to work on my PowerBook? It seems that out of the box, it will only work with wired connections, not wifi. Please point me to the appropriate download or instruct me how to recompile it. [more inside]

In the last week or so I came across a tool online for coffee shop owners who want to offer wifi to their customers. It was a mix between friendster, plazes, and a generic login system, where the user would create an account, tell the system a little about themselves, upload a photo, etc., and they'd be able to see who else was there at the coffee shop using the WiFi connection, and information about them too. I think it was open source and it seemed like a cool idea. I cannot find the link now, can anyone help?

I don't trust public hotspots. I'd like to sit in a coffee shop, connect via VPN to my local network at home and use my home internet connection (cable modem) to access the outside world. Does anyone have any experices with Sveasoft's firmware hack that supposedly lets you do this. I'm using a Linksys WRT54G and their Satori-4.0 v2.07.1.7sv firmware but having a hell of a time getting it to work. Is this even an option? [MI] [more inside]
