Currently use TW cable with one of their rental modems. Would like to buy my own and add wifi to my home. I use an iMac, a couple of iPhones and will possibly add a tablet soon. No gaming. Home is under 2000sq ft. Use is mostly casual internet, work related. Occasionally download movies. Stream from my mac to my stereo would be nice.
Can anyone make any recommendations?
I don't need anything top end but would care to avoid too rapid obsolescence.

After a recent change in routers by my service provider it's taking a depressingly long amount of time to connect to the internet. I need a fix explained to me like I'm your grandmother's less computer savvy friend. Details henceforth. [more inside]

After wasting two different off-days trying to get my damnable modem+router working, I want to return them both and get something entirely new. Any good recommendations for a solid, reliable DSL modem and wireless router set-up with decent NAS support? [more inside]

I just upgraded to a new modem from Time Warner, which gives me super fast download speeds! Currently, however, I don't have easy access to my router's configuration page, and can't seem to figure out why. Help! I'll try to give all the pertinent details. [more inside]
