I want to make YouTube videos of 2-3 minute text. The popular kinetic typography stuff and whiteboard stuff is eye-catching. But I have little video editing experience and suck at drawing. What is something simple I could use?

I'd love to turn a large area (3m by 1m) of my wall into effectively a whiteboard, by covering it in some kind of transparent film. What's the cheapest way of doing this?
Essentially, I want something very similar to
this but I can't use anything like paint, since I'm in university accommodation

A friend of mine drew an illustration of my son on our office whiteboard. We are moving offices shortly, and I'd like this illustration preserved.

Help me creatively count down! I have started keeping a countdown on the whiteboard on my door for the coming week, until break, etc. I want to keep doing it, but I need original ideas.

I'm looking for a specific type of program. Brainstorming/note taking/tag cloud-esque Windows software, preferably allowing the user to enter short pieces of text then drag them around and link or group phrases or words together. A replacement for a physical whiteboard where short ideas would be jotted, reworked, and linked together haphazardly, where short phrases and words can be stored and inspiration gained from their juxtaposition.

WHATDIDYOUSAYFILTER? I LIVE IN A TWO-STORY HOUSE WITH A PARTNER WHO ALWAYS SHOUTS UP THE STAIRS RATHER THAN COMING UP TO TALK TO ME AND MY MUSIC IS ON AND THE DOOR IS CLOSED TO KEEP THE HEAT IN SO I CAN'T HEAR HER, OR THAT I'M MAYBE EVEN IN MY HEADPHONES. I need some advice/anecdotes on implementing a technical solution that will end the vocal capslock and make us both saner.

I'm looking for a way to make a rather large outdoor whiteboard VISIBLE to all but editable only to a select few. (My hope had been to convert to an online 'whiteboard', but the idea was a bit too high-tech for some.)

PaintFilter: For an art project, I'm looking to permanently paint a design on a whiteboard (a commercially bought whiteboard from Staples) such that the design is resistant to erasing, but people can write around the design with whiteboard markers. Problem is, we're clueless about paint! What kind of paint do we need?

On the TV show
ReGenesis, the scientists constantly scribble with markers on big, transparent boards —
here's a clip, and
here's another. I am guessing that they are using fluorescent wet-erase markers, perhaps in combination with a black-light lamp to make the paint visible in such low light. Where can I buy a setup like this?

I was in an office today where a window had been converted into a whiteboard by installing a translucent white film on the outside of the glass. Does anyone know what to ask for to get something like this? Bonus points if you can point to a supplier in Western Australia.

Online interactive whiteboards. Are there any alternatives to GE's imagination3.com (can't move things around, you have to erase the whole thing and start over), groupboard (I'm looking for a free one, not a demo that expires) or sharing a desktop and using powerpoint? What about FF extensions? Open source?

DryEraseFilter. I bought a whiteboard at Ikea and after using some dry-erase markers on it, it does not erase. Now I have a whiteboard with half a grocery list and a doodle of a octopus-man that aren't going anywhere. I've tried all the household cleaners I have (bleach, vinegar, Fantastic, Windex) nothing's working. Any recommendations?
