I'm going to SF with my partner for our first wedding anniversary - yay! We've been before and have seen some of the sights (list after the break), but are looking for things we might have missed, awesome places we haven't eaten at, great things we haven't seen, etc, so we can make the most of it. Only limiting factor: neither of us drive.

I plan to spend 2 weeks in the west coast to one day move there. I am hoping to travel to various cities and explore video game related places. I want to network and talk to people from all video game walks of life, from indie developers to touring game studios. What places should I visit? What studios does tours?
I was planning to tour around late June, but should I center it around PAX Prime?

I plan to make a trip this summer (June-July) visiting friends and family, making 2- to 4-day stops in each of St. Louis, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Vancouver, and Missoula. What's the cheapest way to do this? Or, what are some resources I can use to find the cheapest ways?

Late-March roadtrip from Toronto to San Francisco, or wherever we end up by the time we have to head back. We've got two weeks, or sixteen days if we really need it. There's three of us. We currently have no plan and only vague notions of freedom on the road and driving into podunk towns to see giant balls of twine. As such, we have tons of logistics questions, which I will attempt to summarize:

My husband and I are planning a cross-countries, 7500km road trip to promote the book which he has just finished, currently seeking publishers (he will be self-publishing if it isn't picked up before we are set to leave). We are seeking contact info of book stores, events, independent media outlets and any other venues where book signings, readings or vending would be appropriate.

I'll be driving from Los Angeles to the Seattle area in a few weeks. I don't want to endure the dreariness of I-5 all the way up, but I also don't want to spend too much time on the trip. Three days would probably be ideal; four would be acceptable. What route will provide the best balance of beauty/points of interest and expediency?
