I just got the oil changed in the car. I usually get them to put in 20-50, but this time they only had 15-45 or whatever it is. Problem is that I have about 10 quarts of the former and none of the latter in my trunk. When I top off the oil in the coming months, can I use the heavier stuff, or should I get the lighter?

I've been taking Lamictal (150 mgs) and Welbutrin (100 mgs) for over a year. About eight months or so ago, I started taking Celexa (10 mgs) as well. Since taking the Celexa, I've gained over ten pounds, this after staying at the same weight for over three years. I'm still going to the gym six days a week and my diet hasn't significantly changed. The next time I see my doctor, I'd like to suggest he take me off the Celexa and put me on a different anti-depressant. Can anyone tell me which anti-depressant is least likely to cause weight gain?

I would like to buy a cost-effective bathroom scale that is pretty darn accurate for a 200 lb. guy -- margin of error plus or minus one pound. How do I buy one that is accurate? Any brand name suggestions? Do I have to buy one of those things with manually adjusted weights that run along a bar to get this level of accuracy? Please do not instruct me not to weigh myself more than once a week, etc. -- I am looking for a set of scales that will give me a reliable snapshot.

I'm looking to buy a new and hopefully not too expensive weight scale. Tanita seems to be the cool brand, but is body fat monitoring worth the extra dollars? I'm not finding much authoritative info on how accurate it is or even how it works so I'm skeptical. Explanations or scale recommendations appreciated.

I'm overweight and I'm pretty damned tired of it (23 years old, about 260ish 6' tall). I've already started modifying my eating habits and now I'm looking for a workout solution. I'm a computer guy, so I spend a -lot- of time sitting during the day (usually night). I know a lot of you work out quite regularly and I would like to know if someone could come up with a basic workout regimen.
I live in an apartment complex with a decent gym. I just don't know what days I should walk how far and what machines I should do how many reps of what. Also, I'd like some suggestions as to where I should go after I've been doing this for a while if possible.
Apologies in advance if my search-fu is inferior.

My bathroom has mirrored walls instead of tiles. When I look at myself in one wall/mirror, I seem slightly shorter and wider than I seem in the other mirror, creating the illusion of a 5 lb difference in my appearance. Is there a way to figure out which mirror (if either) is accurate?

I want to gain more muscle mass and strength. I don't want to look like a bodybuilder, but I do want to look very fit. (I'm a male nearing 40.) My problem is, I don't have a good gym nearby and I live in a small apartment. I don't have room for a free weight system. Can one build the sort of body that I want without weights or a machine, simply by doing exercises (pushups, etc.)? How reasonable is that approach? If that won't work, what sort of machine should I buy that doesn't take up much real-estate space and is pleasing to the eye. (I've looked into
these, but they only go up to 52lbs. Is that enough?)

DietFilter: I'm on a diet, and losing weight, which is nice. But in weird spurts, which is, well, weird. I sit at approximately the same weight for 2 weeks. Then I lose 5 pounds in 2 days. Then I sit at that new weight for 2 weeks. Repeat. This seems weird to me, but I've never watched my weight this closely while dieting before. Is this how it usually goes, or am I just weird?

After I received the 'time to lose weight or else' talk from my Doctor, a co-worker suggested a healthy weight loss/lower our blood pressure competition. How best to compare the relative weight losses of a guy who only needs to drop 40 pounds (my co-worker, of course) and the guy who needs to drop the equivalent of a Backstreet Boy?
