I need protein. I have just started (re-started) weight training and I have very limited funds, but I cannot afford lean steak or chicken or fish. I have some protein powder and can afford chicken thigh meat, canned tuna and any amount of pulses. Which is best? I'm trying to build lean muscle.

Does anyone know of a good place for weight training in Paris? Having both a squat rack (
not the same thing as a smith machine) and a place to do deadlifts is mandatory; having local expertise in Olympic style lifts (e.g. clean and jerk, snatch) is a strong plus, but maybe too much to hope for. As always, cheaper is better.

[ExcerciseFilter] What's a good target for weight gain in strength training? Not to say body building, but general fitness-level training. I can't seem to find a clear resource for equating weight training to muscle mass.

I'm looking to shake up my workouts, shed the excess poundage, and get some more definition -- basically, I'm bored, not making much headway, and would like to get over the hump to better health/muscle shape. Since it's hard to tell the difference between the shills and the real online reviews, advice, etc., I need some Mefite first-hand experience with hydroxycut or similar supplements.

Any good exercise/weight-loss diaries out there? I'm working out these days, and would like to track my progress (if any!) both in terms of weight loss, endurance training and weight lifting. Any suggestions? Online services or downloaded software are both fine.
