Finding a tall blonde hunk in Dublin

Handcuffing the groom to a midget on his stag do is an immoral and degrading tradition. So, we want to find a gorgeous, very tall, blonde Atlas of a hunk to handcuff him to, in Dublin. Where should I look? Modelling agencies? Dating website?

Outdoor Colorado Weddings

I'm posting this as anonymous as I have some friends and family who read this site, and they don't know we're this serious yet. My girlfriend and I are talking about getting married this summer if we can afford it and afford living together. We're looking at possibly Saint Malo off of Highway 7, Panorama Point or doing something in Rocky Mountain National Park. We're leaning more towards a summer wedding outdoors, June or July. Saint Malo is great, but expensive for what we want ($1000 for a few hours). Panorama Point in Golden Gate State park is more feasible. We're both really practical so we want our friends and family there but not at significant cost or debt. Other then Rocky Mountain National Park or Golden Gate State park, what are some good locations in Colorado for an outdoor wedding? In terms of cost, food for < 30 guests, location, photographer etc... what should we plan to spend? We're talking about doing it on a weekday.

Surviving a wedding

I have extreme anxiety about leaving the house and being in groups. I'm going to my sister's wedding this holiday weekend. I've worked up to dealing with crowds on ferries, driving there, what I'll be wearing and gifts I'll be giving. I still have no clue what to say to people or what people talk about at these events. Help? Specific special details included. [more inside]

Help me fly with my wedding dress!

Taking my wedding dress on a plane- Help! I have two options: 1) Take it in the bag and hope that the plane will hang it up in first class even though i am sitting in coach 2) Pack it in my bag (its fairly small and lace) and get it steamed somewhere on the other end. Where can you get things steamed? Do they do that at dry cleaner? What do you recommend? Thank you!!

How can I bond with friends at my bachelorette?

Ideas for bachelorette party in Providence, RI? I really wanted to do a group hot tub/ sauna thing but have not been able to find a place. I have a group of about 12 ladies. I love the outdoors, spas, games. It would be nice to do something intimate where we can talk and bond. Also, a low price point is important because the girls are all coming from out of town. Thanks so much for your help!

Is an intervention needed on these tacky stagette plans?

My friend (let's call her Amanda) is having a stagette, which is being planned by a completely different group of friends from the ones that we share. She's known these ladies since childhood, and I hardly know them at all. I feel like Amanda's friends are planning a stagette that goes strongly against Amanda's taste and wishes. Should I say something to the party planners? If so, how? (more inside) [more inside]

Ideas for my best man/brother's wedding speech? PS He's severely hearing impaired.

Ideas for my best man/brother's wedding speech? PS He's severely hearing impaired. I can't believe I didn't think to ask this here earlier. My brother/best man is having a tremendously hard time thinking of ways he can deliver his speech at my wedding (in 12 days!). I always say he doesn't have a very thick deaf accent. But I've been hearing it for 20 some years, so I'm a bit biased. In all honesty, people at the wedding would probably have a hard time understanding him. He's really nervous...for good reason. Any ideas?

Is it possible to have more-than-decent wedding music in the wilds of Northern New Hampshire?

Marriage in WAY northern New Hampshire (20 miles south of Canadian border - we're talking five hours from Boston.) Family is there, but we live on west coast. Great! Problem: music. We need a GOOD band and DJ. Save us from typical oldies/blues-rock/jazzy/swingy mish-mash. Doesn't have to be a typical wedding band, though it should be a group that can entertain a varied (grandparents, parents, friends, etc.) crowd. Maybe MeFiers from VT, Maine, or NH have suggestions? We don't want to spend a lot of $$$, but all suggestions, as well as creative (non-band) solutions, and off-list contacts, are welcome...
