What are the best MeFi-, Robotwisdom-, Agonist-like weblogs from Germany and in the German language ?
A previous thread gave me some links, but i do not care for them and they were not in the same league as the blogs mentioned above.

Any Weblogs out there for or by the World War II generation? I know not everyone of that age group is computer savvy, but my mom is, and since there seem to be Weblogs for every other subgroup, I'd love to find her a few good links. If not, she may have to start her own...

I'm told that my weblog's atom feed is broken: according to feedvalidator.org this is because 'my feed appears to be encoded as "utf-8", but my server is reporting "US-ASCII". Is it advisable that I should persuade my server to report an 'utf-8', ecoding, and, if so, how? [more inside]

I've been reading a lot of Hunter S. Thompson lately, and have become addicted to his "Gonzo journalism". Can anyone reccomend any weblogs, online zines or young authors that display that kind of brazen, muckraking writing style?

Can anyone recommend a decent web host whose cheapie package will support the cgi magic that is Moveable Type? I'm about to start a new Moveable Type blog and I'd like to host it in the $0-$5 per month range. I don't need a lot of web space. I don't want to use Type Pad's "Basic" service, because of the features it lacks. Is there a MT-equivalent of Blogspot? Apache on *nix would be preferred. [more inside]

Anybody know of any good online libraries? I'm especially interested in libraries containing articles on weblogs, as that's the theme of my dissertation and that's what this research is for. If you can point me directly at good interesting articles on weblogs, that would be great too. :) (Yes, I'm aware I may be asking too much, but I figure there's no harm in asking.)
Bonus points if they're free resources, but I'm not opposed to paying a small sum to get articles if I have to.

Anyone know of a good, reliable (free) RSS feed for Weblog Keyword Search? Technorati seemed like the most likely candidate, but they don't currently export keyword searches to RSS. I've found a couple others that do, including Feedster (a bit slow) and I thought that Blogines might do this, but they say they don't currently export keyword searches.
What I'm looking for is something as groovy and reliable as Yahoo News Search RSS (example keyword Metafilter) - but searching Weblogs, not the news. Any/all suggestions welcome - I'd rather not resort to page-scraping. [more inside]

Phone Blogging. I've been browsing on my mobile for a while now, as well as maintaining a weblog in MoveableType. Is there a way that I can compose and send a MT entry from my WAP phone; or even send a picture (!), since my new phone has a camera?
PS - I can send and receive email on a WAP site through my phone

Blogging application that includes line-numbering? I'd like to publish content for peer review, in chonologic blog format, with automatic line numbering, so that people can comment, by line number, on my writing. Obviously, the line breaks and numbers have to be the same for everyone. AfterDinner.com offers this functionality, though it isn't really a blogging application. I'm a veteran Blogger user, and willing to do a little bit of creative coding (eg: light hacking of Moveable Type). Any help?
