I have mostly completed a website design for a small company - logo, colors, info architecture - but the visual effect of all the elements together isn't.. quite.. "there" yet. How would I go about finding a Web designer who could improve the design "the rest of the way"?

I'd like a place to put up a CV and occasionally some writing. I'm looking for a minimal, clean, and if possible free Wordpress theme. In terms of references, I really like the look of Grantland articles (
for example, the first thing I clicked on their frontpage). I love the running header, the minimal navigation, the centered space for an article, the white space, the blocking, and the running foot-notes on the side.

How do I elegantly present tabular, statistical data online and automatically?
I'd love some examples of beautifully presented tabular data online - something that works natively in a browser, ideally also on a tablet and mobile as well. Some interactivity (sorting, filtering) also OK but priority is usability and elegance like you'd find in printed statistical abstracts. Bonus points for open source web tools / frameworks that could help automate this from a database!

I'm trying to make my image links in a div start at 0.8 opacity, and on hover, bump up to 1 opacity. This works fine - until I also introduce text links to the same div. Then, the 0.8 starting opacity applies to the text as well, making it look weird. Any way to make it apply to the image links only?
Thanks.

I was looking at the
webpage for a sci-fi webcomic called Drive, and I noticed that the web designer had included a modified version of the RSS icon that meshed very nicely with the feel of the webpage. I was wondering if anyone else had noticed any other websites that had similarly jazzed up (or down, I guess) the RSS icon to better fit their page. To be clear, I'm not just looking for fancy versions of the icon (Google image search turns up hundreds of those), but instances of altered icons being
used well in actual webpages.
