Recommend me a video camera to use capturing sports action. I'm looking for a USB camera for use outside that can send live capture to a Win7 machine. It should have a wide auto-focus, software to instantly review the feed. I've reviewed previous Mefi posts, and can't decide whether a web cam, stand-alone Hd camcorder, or something like a Flip or helmet cam would be suitable. Right now the Contour or GoPro are considerations, but I'm unsure of the software side. Price is not really important, but I dont' want to spend $500.

I am putting together a proposal for my English class. It proposes that cameras should be required in meat processing plants all along the "dissemble" line, and broadcast "to the public somehow," (probably via web-feed or something) . Is there such a thing, in any law, in any jurisdiction (even outside of the U.S.)?

Is there some sort of adapter, like a small prism that I could clip on my laptop's built-in webcam so that I can record video behind the laptop (in front of me) of what I am looking at?

Sending stuff back to the manufacturer.... does it work?
I got this
top of the line Logitech webcam as a gift a couple of years ago and never used it. Now the opportunity to use it presented itself, I tried to install it and... nothing. It is very likely broken.

I want to attach a small (and waterproof) wireless camera to my mischief-seeking dog's collar and have it send images via the internet every 30 seconds so I can keep an eye on him while at work. He is restricted to an area with a maximum distance of about 200 metres from the wireless router. Ideally I could store and review every photograph over the day. How possible is all of that?
