Why can’t I read Newsweek on my laptop?

I'm using a Mac Laptop running OS X Yosemite (though this is surely moot). Whenever I visit a Newsweek article, (e.g.) I’m told that I’ve already read five articles this month - despite never having visited before. This is true if I use Safari, Tor Browser, Firefox, or Chrome. I entirely believe this could be do to a particular add-on configuration, but my Safari set up is pretty vanilla, so I’m dubious. Thanks!

Chroma/Luma Key for OS X Browsers

Is it possible to make a browser window and the background of web pages transparent but to leave the text and images opaque? This would be applied to all web pages viewed in the browser, not just for specific pages I am creating. I've looked at several plug-ins and applications that offer transparent browser windows, but nothing so far gives options for selecting colors to leave opaque. I essentially want something to act as a luma or chroma key for browser windows. I'm using OS X. [more inside]

How do I load a series of different URLs into different windows/tabs as fast as possible?

How do I load a series of different URLs into different windows/tabs as fast as possible? The reason I ask is that a regular train ride I take stops for about 15 seconds at a station with wireless access. I'd like to load pages which I can then read for the rest of the trip but even opening new windows and launching bookmarks is manual and slow. Any ingenious ideas?
